Since 2012 the FIA World Endurance Championship aka WEC is taking place at the world’s best racetracks. Beside well-known events like the 24 Heures du Mans and the 6 Hours of Silverstone also the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps had been part of the event since 2012. This year the famous Nürburgring race track had been able to call itself a venue of the WEC too.
Located in the heart of the Eifel the Nürburgring is a world famous and traditional race track which had been the setting for breathtaking events like the ADAC GT MASTERS, the DTM and the Formula1. By people who always invested 110% and tried to combine history with the future the Nürburgring is mentioned in one breath with Germany and motorsports.
People like these can be also found at the Patrón Spirits Company. The Mexican based brand is much into handcraft and high quality. They only use the best ingredients and put their focus on handmade products. Therefore it is no accident that the Patròn Tequila is one of the world’s best tequilas.
Their passion for high quality and motorsports had to be combined so they just decided to became the main sponsor of the Extreme Speed Motorsports racing team. But as you might imagine just supporting a team isn’t enough for the Mexican based brand. They want to achieve the best results, everywhere. Due to that President and Chief Executive Officer of Patrón Spirits International, Ed Brown, additionally joined the ESM Patrón Racing Team as TEQUILA PATRÓN ESM: P2 CLASS LIGIER JS P2 driver.
Although they at least hadn’t been as successful at the Nürburgring as they’d wanted to be they did again a really good job. It’s been a breathtaking race and a 12th and 14th aren’t that bad at all.
Good luck for the rest of the WEC and thanks for the invitation.
